President's Pondering
Spring is officially here but the weather seems a little slow to admit it. Its great
to see so many people coming on a Wednesday evening, it’s always nice to see
the workshop busy.
We've been looking to get some additional inspiration or external demonstrations run for those who would like to. If you know someone who has a specific
carving skill which they would like to share or there is something you would
like to work on and think others might as well, please let me know and we will
look into it.
Thank you so much to John who in the last months has run a two skill demonstrations for the salmon and the painted block carvings.
A Digital Facelift
We have some very exciting news regarding our online presence! A massive
thank you goes out to Gordon for all his hard work on our new website design.
Important Calendar Dates
April Schedule Changes
Please take note of a small break to our regular meeting schedule this month:
Wednesday, 22nd April: There will be no carving session held
Wednesday, 29th April: We will be back to our regular schedule and look forward to seeing everyone then.
First Demonstration of the Season
Mark your calendars! Our first public demonstration of the year will be held at
Britannia on 24th May.
These events are a fantastic way to showcase carving to the community and
maybe even recruit some new members. If you are interested in participating or
helping out, please let Becks know as soon as possible so we can coordinate
the day.
Thank you,
Nathan
