President’s Pondering
As we come to the end of this school year carving sessions, we have 1 more session on Wednesday 17th before we break for Summer.
We met this week for a meal at Shady Island to say thank you and goodbye to two long standing members of the Carving Society who are retiring from the group.
John Scott and David Price have both been members for over two decades and have contributed a significant amount of their time in various roles within the society over the years. Their knowledge, experience and presence will be missed.
Our demonstrations have gone really well this year but the big event is still to come. We are at the Maritime festival on Sunday August 23rd from 10am to 6pm.
Last year Becks had to take the hard decision to cancel our place as we were unable to get enough volunteers for the day, but hope this year you'll all volunteer. Please contact her directly at 6047227162 or email rebeccajennings77@outlook.com if you are able to attend for all or part of the day.
